Chappelle’s Vermont Potatoes grows about 50 acres of potatoes on a land base of approximately 120 acres. Fields are rotated annually and a great deal of effort is devoted to small grain cover crops in an effort to improve soil health and improve the quality and yields of potatoes in the following year.

Chappelle’s grows about 1.5 million pounds of potatoes which are kept in a controlled storage. Starting in September, about 20 tons of potatoes are delivered per week until the crop is gone - generally about the first of May.
