Heartwood Farm is a diversified vegetable farm located in South Albany, Vt. Run by Andy Paonessa and Meghan Stotko, Heartwood grows 6 acres of diversified vegetables using organic methods. Bordered by beaver ponds, sugar maple, and spruce, their goal is to bring food to all corners of the community and to continue the thriving rural traditions in their lives and work. Along with growing vegetables, they also tap around 700 maples using non-leaded buckets and boil sap in a wood-fired evaporator.
